Today, Keeping Baltimore Warm donated 40 blankets to Sandalwood Elementary School. Sandalwood is a BCPS Community School, which means that it forms community partnerships to support improved academic outcomes and family development. One of the ways that Sandalwood Elementary School supports the community is with monthly donation drives. Sandalwood organizes drives and then sets up outlets to provide community members with resources they may need for daily life (including items like, blankets, detergent, clothing, etc.)
Mrs. Shannon Ament (teacher/advisor) is a key member in Sandalwood’s efforts to help others and make a difference. Mrs. Ament runs these valuable programs and spends countless hours preparing/organizing new ways to support her community. She shared with us that each month the boxes are filled with generous donations and then emptied as these much needed items are distributed to community members.
At Keeping Baltimore Warm, we are proud to be able to help make a difference by supporting Sandalwood. If this story inspires you, please donate a blanket (or several) so you can help our community in need: Amazon Wishlist
